The Windy City Bulls acquired the rights to Hassani Gravett and a 2022 first-round pick in a three-team trade Thursday.
As part of the deal, they sent former undrafted signee Devon Dotson to the Lakeland Magic along with a 2023 second-round pick.
Dotson, a Chicago native, signed a two-way contract with the Bulls in 2020 and another in 2021. He appeared in 22 games on the big stage and averaged 2.6 points and 1.4 assists in those contests.
So, Who is Hassani Gravett?
The 6-foot-2, 188-pound point guard split time between Orlando and their G League affiliate, Lakeland, last season. He averaged 6.3 points and shot 42.3% from deep on 3.3 attempts in eight NBA games.
Gravett recorded 13.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.6 steals in a dozen G League games. But, ironically, he found much less success from three away from the bright lights — 26.8% on 4.7 attempts.
The South Carolina product and former SEC Sixth Man of the Year went undrafted in 2019. He signed with MZT Skopie of the Macedonian League in July 2020, winning both the Macedonian League championship as well as the 2021 Macedonian Basketball Cup.
