Windy City Bulls Games, Bulls Pocastapalooza Canceled This Weekend

A pair of Windy City Bulls games and the Bulls Pocastapalooza event are canceled this weekend due to a shortage of players.

In a shocking announcement just 2.5 hours before tip-off on Friday, the Windy City Bulls canceled both of their games this weekend. Both games were scheduled to take place at NOW Arena against the Sioux City Skyforce.

The cancellation was not directly due to a COVID-19 outbreak with the G League team, but instead because of a player shortage. At the NBA level, the Chicago Bulls are without seven players due to a COVID outbreak with Ayo Dosunmu and Stanley Johnson as the latest casualties. The Windy City Bulls have provided a good portion of their roster to the Chicago Bulls to fill in the depth chart.

This is extra disappointing for us here at Bulls On Tap because it means the Bulls Pocastapalooza scheduled for Saturday's game has to be postponed. See Red Fred of the Big Red Bus podcast originally coordinated the event to bring the following Bulls podcasts together for a live show during halftime:

The Windy City Bulls Holiday Party and Scarf Giveaway were also supposed to take place Saturday. Unfortunately, no game means no festivities tonight.

A rescheduled date has not been announced yet. Be sure to follow Bulls On Tap and See Red Fred on Twitter for updates on a potential new date for Bulls Pocastapalooza.
