No way this is possible, right? Why would the Chicago Bulls move on from Zach LaVine who made great strides last year?
The tweet above reflects my thoughts exactly. The wing depth in this draft is impressive, but can you get a player with Zach LaVine's drive and skill level? The Bulls have been rumored as one of the teams looking to get involved in a potential three-team deal between the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans for All-Star Forward, Anthony Davis.
The Bulls starting lineup is almost complete. Where the team is lacking, the point guard position is the last puzzle piece to complete the starting lineup. So, why move a 24-year-old 2 guard for the 4th pick and Lonzo Ball? It makes no sense and I am personally calling B.S on this. As Mr. Anderson states above, anybody the Bulls look at 4 would potentially be there at 7. If they trade for Lonzo, would they take Garland? That doesn't seem to make much sense considering they both play the Point Guard position.
It's hard to dispute the fact Zach at times last year looked like a number one option. He improved in every statistical category and helped this team win games. To the fans wanting to pull the trigger on this trade, I strongly recommend you reconsider. Zach LaVine is going to be a problem in the NBA. Teams are going to have to gameplan for this kid and with a bunch of shooters around him, watch out.
Honestly, I see this just being a rumor. I cannot see Gar and Pax moving on from young talent like this. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
