Bulls guard Zach LaVine had a pregame conversation with ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith before Thursday's game vs. the Knicks. Today on ESPN, Smith said LaVine approached him before the game and said the Bulls weren't going to lose.

The Bulls played one hell of an entertaining game against the New York Knicks last night. Chicago jumped out to a 21-point lead in the first half and seemed poised to blow out the Knicks. At halftime, the Bulls were up 18 and looked to be headed toward a sure victory.

New York started the second half 5-6 from deep to get back in the game. Unfortunately for them, they fell short. LaVine scored 27 points, DeMar DeRozan poured in 34 points, and Nikola Vucevic added 27. The Bulls ended up winning the game 119-115.

Smith made comments before the season started questioning the Bulls' offseason moves. He said he didn't like the combination of DeRozan and LaVine, claiming they wouldn't work well together and it had to be one or the other. Well, as usual, Smith was wrong. The Bulls currently sit second in the Eastern Conference while the Knicks rank 10th with a .500 record.

Chicago has now won the season series against New York after taking two of the three matchups so far. So, in a nutshell, Mr. Smith can take this terrible claim and wear it. The Bulls are for real and Stephen A. Smith is just going to have to get used to it.
