Hurricanes Assign Jamieson Rees to Wolves
A name familiar with many Wolves fans is returning to Chicago. Jamieson Rees has been assigned by the Carolina Hurricanes to the Chicago Wolves on Thursday.
Rees spent the 2021 season with the Wolves, accumulating 14 points (eight goals, six assists) in 29 games. The numbers on the surface may be underwhelming, but Rees took significant steps forward as the pandemic-shortened season progressed. Now, Rees returns with a chance to build on what he accomplished during the spring.
The Hamilton, Ontario native played three preseason games with the Hurricanes this season before an injury delayed his season's start. He spent time on the non-roster injured list with the Hurricanes and is now set to see his first game action with the Wolves.

Its uncertain whether or not Rees will suit up for the Wolves during their three games this weekend. However, it feels like the perfect opportunity for the 20-year-old to see his first game action as the Wolves take on the IceHogs Friday and the Marlies in a back-to-back at home on Saturday and Sunday.
Friday's road puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CST. This weekend's games at Allstate Arena on Saturday and Sunday are slated to start at 7:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. CST, repsectively.
