2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament to Be Played in One Location

In efforts to minimize the risk of COVID-19, the 2021 NCAA Basketball Tournament is expected to take place in one location.

Per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, the 2021 NCAA tournament will be played in one location, most likely Indianapolis.

Additionally, the NCAA will look to have nearby schools or arenas host games for the earlier rounds.

The players will not be allowed to leave the Indianapolis bubble area until they are eliminated. Yes, there are still the logistics of working around these student-athletes taking remote classes, but it is good to see the NCAA finally announce a bubble-like environment to keep the players and staff healthy given the spike in COVID-19 cases across the country.
