Notre Dame will play Navy in 2024 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the programs announced Thursday.

The Irish and Midshipmen will face off Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024. The stadium is home of the NFL's New York Giants and New York Jets.

Notre Dame and Navy held the longest continuous rivalry in college football at 93 years before COVID-19 restrictions canceled the 2020 game. In August 2020, the two programs signed an agreement to continue their rivalry series for the next 12 seasons through 2032. The rivalry will resume Nov. 6 at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana.

The Irish and Midshipmen have played seven times before at the Meadowlands Sports Complex since 1980. Notre Dame won the first six times before Navy defeated the Irish 35-17 in 2010. It was the Midshipmen's third win in four years against the Irish. Notre Dame won eight of the next nine games in the season series.

The Irish hold a 77-13-1 record in the all-time series against Navy. The rivalry started because Notre Dame president Father Theodore Hesburgh vowed to play Navy every year in football after Navy established a V-7 program on Notre Dame's campus that trained 12,000 officers to keep the school alive until the end of World War II.

Notre Dame also has road games in 2024 at Texas A&M, Purdue, Georgia Tech, and Southern California.
