Adam Miller, a 2020 four-star guard committed to the Illini, has been named Mr. Basketball for the state of Illinois. He edged out DJ Steward, a Duke commit, to take home the Chicago Tribune's annual award.
Miller averaged 26.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 2.6 steals per game for Morgan Park, per MaxPreps.
The star guard hasn’t officially signed with Illinois yet. Fans are concerned he may de-commit, but as of now, he’s projected to be a starter for the 2020-21 Fighting Illini. If Ayo Dosunmu returns to Illinois after testing the waters in the draft, the tides may change. Regardless, Miller earning the Illinois Mr. Basketball award is an impressive accomplishment that has Illini fans buzzing with excitement.
