Following a bad loss to Cincinnati last week, the Associated Press left Illinois out of the Top 25 poll this week.

The fallout comes as no surprise. Illinois was a 9.5-point favorite to the Bearcats. Despite an eight-point victory on Tuesday over Big 12 opponent Kansas State and a nine-point victory on Friday over UT Rio Grande Valley, the Illini were not impressive enough to stay in the AP poll.

Four Big Ten teams remain in the poll. Illinois has a chance to earn themselves back in this week as they host ACC opponent Notre Dame on Monday in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and conference rival Rutgers on Friday.
