NCAA Confirms Men’s Division 1 Basketball Tournament to be Played in Indianapolis

NCAA's March Madness will be entirely hosted in Indiana, with most court locations being in the Indianapolis area.

The NCAA released details and a confirmation that the entire 2021 Men’s Basketball Tournament will be played in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Per the NCAA: “Games will be played on two courts inside Lucas Oil Stadium, as well as Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Indiana Farmers Coliseum, Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, and Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington. Only one game at a time will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium.” Mostly, games will be played around Indianapolis with a few exceptions, but it is a good idea to keep all players and staff in the area. Teams will also stay mainly at Marriot hotels.

Obviously, the NCAA seems to be working at whatever length possible to play the tournament after last year’s cancellation, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This is great news for all fans and for players who can hopefully play safely in the NCAA Tournament bubble come March. Selection Sunday will take place on March 14 at this time, so they will have to navigate two more months of games. March cannot come soon enough!
