Notre Dame will play Brigham Young in Las Vegas for the Irish's Shamrock Series game in 2022, according to a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The Irish and Cougars will meet at Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders. The date for the reported game is unknown, but each program has open dates for Oct. 8 and 29. Notre Dame also does not have dates for its 2022 games against Boston College and Syracuse.

The Irish lead the all-time series against the Cougars, 4-2, and have won three straight in the series. BYU's two wins against Notre Dame came in 1994 (21-14 in Provo, Utah) and 2004 (21-14 in South Bend, Indiana). The 2022 game will be the first neutral site game in the series.

Notre Dame is 9-0 in Shamrock Series games, since the series began in 2009 with the then-No. 25 Irish’s 40-14 win against Washington State at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The Irish will play Wisconsin in this year's Shamrock Series game on Sept. 25 at Soldier Field, home of the NFL's Chicago Bears.
