Notre Dame RB Jahmir Smith is Leaving the Program
Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly spoke to the media Monday in preparation for their matchup with Pittsburgh this weekend. In the press conference, Kelly announced that Irish junior running back Jahmir Smith has left the Notre Dame football program.
Notre Dame's running back room is packed and the clear-cut favorite is Kyren Williams. Smith fell on the depth chart and only got reps in one game this season. Williams and freshman Chris Tyree have handled a majority of the carries so far this year.
Smith logged 42 attempts last season, finishing with 180 yards and two touchdowns. He saw just six carries during his freshman year.
