Notre Dame and Wisconsin have rescheduled their 2020 football game at Lambeau Field that was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Irish and Badgers will kickoff Sept. 5, 2026 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the programs announced Monday via Twitter.

In 2017, the two programs announced a two-game series for Oct. 3, 2020, at Lambeau Field and Sept. 25, 2021, at Soldier Field in Chicago. The 2021 game is still in place.

Lambeau Field, the home of the NFL's Green Bay Packers, has a seating capacity of 81,411 and last hosted a college football game in 2016 when Wisconsin defeated LSU 16-14. Soldier Field, home of the NFL's Chicago Bears, seats 61,500.

Notre Dame will be playing its first game at Lambeau Field, which is named after Packers co-founder and former Irish back Curly Lambeau. Former Irish wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown is currently under contract with the Packers.

The contests will mark the first meetings between Notre Dame and Wisconsin since a three-game series from 1962-64. Notre Dame earned a 31-7 on Sept. 26, 1964, in Madison, Wisconsin, in Ara Parseghian's debut as head coach for the Irish.

The Irish are 8-6-2 in the all-time series against the Badgers.
