Notre Dame WR Avery Davis Out for 2022 Season With Torn ACL

The sixth-year player worked to return to the field after he suffered a tore ACL in his left knee in November against Navy.

Notre Dame wide receiver Avery Davis will miss the 2022 season after suffering a right ACL injury during Friday’s practice, the program announced Saturday.

Davis worked to return to the field after he tore his left ACL in November against Navy. The 5-foot-11, 198-pound Cedar Hill, Texas native had 27 catches for 386 yards and four touchdowns last fall before his injury.

In January, Davis announced he would return for his sixth season. The former quarterback has 66 receptions for 862 yards and eight touchdowns in his career.
