Cubs, Albert Almora Come to Terms on 2020 Salary

Albert Almora and the Cubs have settled on a 2020 deal to avoid arbitration.

Gordon Wittenmyer is reporting that the Chicago Cubs and outfielder Albert Almora have reached a pact on his 2020 salary, netting him $1.575 million.

In 2019, Almora posted -0.7 fWAR, -1 bWAR, and slashed .236/.271/.381. Hopefully he is able to put his struggles and heartbreak from a disappointing campaign in the rearview, and next year we are talking a massive arbitration payday for the young outfielder.
