The Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds will wrap up their respective seasons with a three-game series starting Monday at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati.
The Cubs (73-86) have won seven straight and 11 of their past 12 games after a three-game sweep of the Reds this past weekend at Wrigley Field. Chicago limited the Reds to just one run in each of the three games and hasn't allowed more than two runs in its past six games. It's worth noting the Cubs have certainly benefited from playing lesser competition - Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies and the Reds - during their winning streak.
The Reds (60-99) have lost six straight and nine of their past 10 games. Cincinnati's pitching and defense has struggled, allowing four runs or more in five games during its losing streak.
