Thanks to some severe weather in the Chicagoland area on Monday, the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers will play a split doubleheader on Tuesday.
The teams will play two seven-inning games Tuesday to make up for Monday's postponement. It was uncertain if the postponement would change Justin Steele's start time. Per Jordan Bastian, it in fact will push the rookie into starting game one.
Tuesday's headlines will be dominated by the Justin Steele hype. Steele was pitching really well for the Cubs as a reliever. In 11 games with the Cubs this season, Steele is 2-0 with a 2.03 ERA in 13.1 innings of work. In those 13.1 innings, he has 21 strikeouts to just seven walks.
With the adjustment, first pitch for game one on Tuesday is 1:20 p.m. CDT. Game two will begin at 7:05 p.m. CDT.
