This may come as no surprise to Cubs fans, but Kris Bryant currently leads the All-Star balloting for National League third baseman, per the first return of ballots.
The 2016 National League MVP is having an incredible season, slashing .297/.377/.554 with 13 home runs and 39 RBI's in 60 games. In addition to his offensive rebound, Bryant has also played all over the diamond, playing numerous games in all three outfield spots, at third base, and at first base.
Bryant has now played 16 games in right field after last night's start. The Cubs swept the Cardinals at Wrigley Field this weekend, and Bryant was playing all over the diamond once again. The Cubs star started in center field on Friday, at third base on Saturday, and in right field on Sunday.
When healthy, Bryant is a top player in baseball. This season, he has impressed around Major League Baseball, putting up incredible offensive numbers while serving as a jack of all trades defensively.
The Cubs are back in action on Monday, opening a four-game series with the New York Mets at Citi Field. First pitch on Monday is scheduled for 6:10 PM CDT, with Jake Arrieta slated to start against LHP David Peterson.
