A report out of Houston links the Chicago Cubs to former Astros' shortstop Carlos Correa.
Mark Berman, the Sports Director for FOX 26 Houston, says the Cubs have been in contact with the star shortstop's agent.
Correa, who was offered a five-year, $160 million deal from the Astros last month, is unlikely to sign a contract with a team before MLB's impending lockout.
There are still a few hours before the deadline, but this is more of a note to keep for after the lockout ends. I discussed why the Cubs should consider Correa yesterday as well as the North Siders' newest pitcher, Marcus Stroman.
