Cubs' Reliever Rowan Wick Heads to 10-Day IL
Unfortunate news out of the Cubs organization today as the team announced that RHP Rowan Wick has been placed on the ten-day injured list with a left oblique strain. The move is retroactive to September 17th.
In a corresponding move, LHP Andrew Chafin was promoted to the active roster. Chafin was acquired by the Cubs at the August 31st trade deadline.
Wick has been one of the Cubs' best bullpen arms this season. He has appeared in 19 games this season to the tune of an 0–1 record, 3.12 ERA, four saves, and 20 strikeouts in 17.1 innings pitched.
