The Cubs (67-83, fourth in NL Central) ended their latest losing streak at four games with a 6-4 win in Milwaukee against the Brewers on Sunday. Patrick Wisdom set Chicago's rookie record with his 27th home run of the season in the eighth-inning comeback. The Cubs' win also ended an 11-game losing streak against the Brewers.
The Twins (65-85, fifth in AL Central) have lost three of their past four and six of their past eight after a series loss at the Toronto Blue Jays. Minnesota won the opener 7-3 then fell 6-2 and 5-3.
The Cubs swept a two-game set at the start of the month at Target Field in Minnesota. Chicago won 3-1 and 3-0 to start a surprising seven-game winning streak.
