The Chicago Cubs will return home to host a three-game weekend series against the Colorado Rockies at Wrigley Field.

The Cubs (61-82) enter the series after sweeping the NL East-leading New York Mets on the road. Chicago's pitching and clutch hitting were among the highlights from the series victory. The Cubs will get a boost out of the bullpen this weekend, with Adbert Alzolay making his season debut after sustaining an injury during spring training. In addition, Hayden Wesneski will make his first MLB start on Saturday.

The Rockies (62-81) split a two-game set on the South Side of Chicago against the White Sox earlier this week. Colorado dropped the opener 4-2 then shut out the White Sox 3-0. The Rockies started September 1-5, but have turned things around and gone 6-3 in the past 10 days.
