Former Chicago Cubs southpaw Jose Quintana is coming back to the NL Central on a deal with the Pirates worth $2 million.

Jose Quintana spent the 2021 season with the Angels where he posted a -0.7 bWAR. It was one of the worst seasons of his career. He finished the season with a 6.43 ERA in 29 games, 10 of the games he started.
