Is your candy hangover gone from Halloween yet? Have no fear, we will get your head straight with some fantasy football picks for week nine of the NFL season.

Quarterback Starts

Justin Herbert vs. LV - It's become abundantly clear that Justin Herbert is a professional quarterback and he's here to stay. He's thrown for over 300 yards in 50% of the games he's played and has thrown three or more touchdowns every week since Week 3.

With the exception of last week against the Browns and Week 2 against the Saints, the Raiders defense has given up 30 or more points in every game. This Chargers offense will easily put up those kinds of numbers in the first meeting between these two teams of the season.

Additional Starts:

  • Josh Allen vs. SEA
  • Kyler Murray vs. MIA
  • Deshaun Watson at JAX
  • Matt Ryan vs. DEN

Quarterback Sits

Lamar Jackson at IND - I was so hopeful that Lamar Jackson would turn the corner on this season. I do not believe that Jackson will go off this weekend against the Colts, a team with a stout defense. Last week against the Steelers, Jackson recorded over 200 passing yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and two fumbles. Starters beware: do not expect much from him for the rest of the season. He may just be the biggest bust of 2020.

Wide Receiver/Running Back Starts

James Robinsonvs. HOU - Robinson has been a start on a shaky Jacksonville team with low expectations. He has not yet posted fewer than ten fantasy points and has scored over 30 fantasy points twice. In the first meeting between these two teams, Robinson tied his season-low average of ten fantasy points. The Jaguars are coming off the bye week and with fresh legs, Robinson should be in line for a very heavy workload.

Terry McLaurin vs. NYG - The bye week will do the Washington Football Team some good as they take on a divisional opponent in the New York Giants. In the first meeting just three weeks ago, McLaurin nabbed seven catches for 74 yards and an average 14.4 fantasy points in PPR leagues. This game should be no different and McLaurin should be a comfortable start across the board.

Additional Starts:

  • Zack Moss vs. SEA
  • Jamycal Hasty vs. GB
  • Adam Thielen vs. DET
  • Corey Davis vs. CHI

Wide Receiver/Running Back Sits

Ezekiel Elliott vs. PIT - Last week against the Eagles, Zeke appeared to aggravate his hamstring and has barely averaged more than three yards per carry in two straight games. Fighting this tough Steelers' defense will be no easy task alone but Zeke is not likely to fix the Cowboys' issues. Add in a third-string quarterback and Dallas is in for a rough ride. Tony Pollard hasn't been much better either and should remain benched as well.

Chris Godwin vs. NO - Who knows how Chris Godwin will be after dealing with injuries? It doesn't seem likely that he takes time off to recover his health and comes back to an instant productive day when the Buccaneers just brought in Antonio Brown. His ceiling is pretty high but his productive floor isn't worth the start this week.

Additional Sits:

  • David Johnson at JAX
  • Jerry Jeudy at ATL
  • Marvin Jones Jr. at MIN

The weeks keep on getting trickier and trickier in fantasy football. COVID-19 hasn't made it any easier either since games keep getting postponed or canceled. This week can cause you to lose your mind with some of the matchups but stick to your guns and trust your gut here. Good luck this week!
