The defending Super Bowl Champions will be without one of their key offensive weapons going into the 2020 season as Damien Williams has elected to opt out of this coming season. He was able to help the Chiefs control the rushing attack during that big win. However, don't forget that the Chiefs did select a running back with their first-round pick in this year's draft.

That man is Clyde Edwards-Helaire, the former LSU Tiger and National Champion. It's not all that common to see teams select running backs in the first round of the draft anymore. But with the Chiefs doing just that, it shows they have big plans for one of their new running backs.

For most of 2019, Kansas City pretty much ran by committee. It seemed like this season would be similar, and it still very well could be. They still have Darrell Williams and Darwin Thompson on the roster, both of whom saw some action last season. This is officially a major opportunity for Edwards-Helaire to shine through.

The major upside to Clyde Edwards-Helaire is that he is capable of doing it all. He is a well-rounded runner out of the backfield and a very solid pass-catcher as well. He finished the 2019 season at LSU with 1,414 rushing yards on 215 attempts and 453 receiving yards on 55 catches. He can be a three-down back on this Chiefs team and should truly be able to make an impact all over the field.

This is a name to keep an eye on in any style of fantasy football. Just keep in mind that Kansas City is not a major run team. However, they can use him in plenty of other ways. Just don't overdraft him in the end.
