Earlier today, Chicago Fire FC announced its 2021 broadcast team, comprised of play-by-play commentator Tyler Terens and color analyst Tony Meola, a member of the U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame. Arlo White is also expected take on play-by-play responsibilities for several matches with the exact details to be announced at a later date. Unfortunately, his debut was delayed last year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
For local viewers, games will be available on WGN-TV, Chicago’s Very Own, and CFFC Live, a new streaming platform on ChicagoFireFC.com and the Chicago Fire FC mobile app. The Fire will open the 2021 season this Saturday, April 17 against the New England Revolution at Soldier Field with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 PM CDT.
Viewers can expect some cool new features during broadcasts including a super-slo-mo camera, updated netcams, and a “jib” camera to allow for greater fan interaction. The MLS will also be unveiling its rail cam to accurately capture the speed of game action from the sidelines.
As always, you can check out all the latest Fire content at On Tap Sports Net.
