The Fire have announced a new streaming platform built for its local, loyal fanbase.

CFFC Live will be available through the club's website and mobile app. According to MLS rules, the platform will only be accessible for those living within the Chicago designated market area (DMA). You can check if you live within that DMA here.

In addition to being available on the club's website and mobile app, you can also cast from a computer, tablet, or phone to a TV that supports Google Chromecast or Apple AirPlay. The feed will be the same as the feed on WGN's local broadcast.

Fans outside the Chicago DMA will still be able to stream matches on ESPN+ via the MLS out-of-market package.

This is massive news for the club, which has done a great job servicing its local fanbase here. The Fire's in-market deal between WGN and ESPN+ expired last season and since WGN is only available on cable, cord-cutting local fans were left without a way to watch their club.

This streaming service is a massive step forward.
