ESPN Radio 1000 will officially be under new ownership as Good Karma Brands (GKB) is set to purchase the Chicago-based sports radio station from The Walt Disney Company.

GKB will also purchase local affiliate stations from ESPN 1050 in New York (WEPN-AM) and ESPN 710 in Los Angeles (KSPN-AM). All three stations will remain affiliates and continue to broadcast locally-produced programming.

ESPN Radio 1000 is no stranger to Good Karma. The Milwaukee-based company entered a Local Marketing Agreement (LMA) with the radio station in October 2019. The LMA allowed GKB to lease out the radio station while assuming operational control. This new deal will now give GKB complete ownership.
