Update: The MLBPA Submits a New Proposal
Per ESPN's Jeff Passan, the player’s association has offered the MLB an 89-game season with full prorated salaries and an expanded playoffs.
The last offer for the player’s association was 114 games, so they’re moving closer to what the owners want. Again, it feels like everyone has been down this road before, but if the owners/MLB do no accept this proposal, they just don’t want to play baseball this season. They had their chance to be the only sport airing at the beginning of July and possibly blew it. Let’s hope this can at least be a proactive offer.
