The only way to top last week's incredible NFL slate is to stack our gambling accounts with money after winning some bets this week. Fellow On Tap Bets contributor Cody Delmendo and I collaborated to put together some bets they like for today's action. Grab a beer. Grab some snacks. Place some bets. Watch the games. And let's cash some tickets.
Cody: Joe Burrow Over 38.5 Pass Attempts (-115 DraftKings)
The Bengals enter this game as seven-point underdogs, and for that reason, it's easy to envision them trailing most of the game. We've seen what Patrick Mahomes has done the last two weeks of the playoffs, only adding to his impressive postseason career.
We could see something similar to last week when Mahomes and Josh Allen put on a show for the ages. The Bills' quarterback finished with 37 pass attempts. Joe Burrow doesn't have the same rushing mobility as Allen, meaning he will be forced to sling the ball around. He went over this number the last time these two teams met in Week 17.
Cody: Patrick Mahomes Over 29.5 Rushing Yards (-125 DraftKings)
Mahomes has gone over this total in three of the last four weeks, including 69 yards last week. Two weeks ago, Derek Carr was sacked three times by the Bengals' defense. Ryan Tannehill was put down just once last week.
However, we've seen the Bengals defense get after the quarterback, compiling 42 sacks during the regular season, which was good enough for the 11th-best mark. Mahomes is more mobile than Carr and Tannehill and he makes faster decisions. If the throws aren't there, he will take off. It's easy to imagine this prop cashing before halftime.
Joey: Evan McPherson Over 1.5 FG Made (-115 DraftKings)
Is anyone down for a kicking prop? Surely, we hope this will be an entertaining game with a ton of offensive production. But what happens if the Bengals stall out in Chiefs' territory? They'll undoubtedly go to their incredibly consistent kicker for a field goal attempt.
I mean, Joe Burrow says, McPherson came up to him and said, "Looks like we're going to the AFC Championship Game," right before he drilled the game-winning 52-yard field goal last week. Additionally, he's made at least two field goals in six straight and eight of the previous nine games.
Joey: Jimmy Garoppolo Over 30.5 Pass Attempts (+105 DraftKings)
Jimmy G is a polarizing player. He's gone under this number in each of the last two games. However, the last time the 49ers and Rams met in Week 18, Garoppolo attempted 32 passes. Additionally, the Rams should have more offensive success against the 49ers than the Packers did last week. It's a home game for them in a fast-tracked dome.
Furthermore, it's difficult to beat a team three times in one season, which is precisely what the 49ers are attempting to do. If we believe the Rams will score points and the 49ers will be playing from behind, Kyle Shanahan will need to abandon the run and let Jimmy G air it out.
Best of luck, and enjoy the games. If you want to get really crazy, check out our #LockUm parlay below.
