Antman and The Wasp: Quantumania First Trailer Released
Marvel Studios has released the first extended look at its upcoming film Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania. The movie will kick off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Let's get into what we learned from and saw in the first trailer.
The "Beginning" of a New Multiversal Threat
As mentioned above, Quantumania is the beginning of the MCU's fifth phase. It's been a while since they had Thanos, who acted as a universal/galactic threat, but things are about to change big time.
The trailer kicks off the feel-good schtick we've grown used to from Antman movies. Played perfectly by Paul Rudd, the movies have always been more comedic than anything for me. A seemingly unsuspicious family quantum experiment goes horribly wrong, and it's going to impact the whole multiverse.
We may have seen Johnathan Majors already in the MCU, but not like we do in this trailer. I'm hopeful they tie in the Loki series ending to lay the foundation for how this version of Kang is able to appear.

New (and Old) Faces for the First Time
In the show Loki, we got to meet He Who Remains, and his demise opens the floodgates for timelines to branch HARD. While the previous looks at him in the show were awesome, I loved seeing him as Kang the Conqueror in all his glory.
In addition to Kang, we got our first look at actor Bill Murray in the MCU. It's not confirmed who Murray will play in the movie, but it's exciting all the same. Using traditionally comedic actors (Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson, Randall Park among many more) has been a huge strength for Marvel over the years.

Bill Murray appears to have had a previous relationship with Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer).
