As we veer into spooky season, we are blessed to kick things off with a hilarious entry into the horror world. On September 2, 2021 season three of FX's What We Do in the Shadows will premiere with two episodes.

What We Do in the Shadows follows a house of vampires living together on Staten Island. The show takes place in Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi's Shadowverse. What We Do in the Shadows was a horror mockumentary comedy released in 2014 and set in New Zealand. It also follows a houseful of vampires and the hilarity that can accompany immortality. The TV show Wellington Paranormal premiered in 2018 (2021 premiere in the US) and it also exists in this universe.

What We Do in the Shadows follows vampires Laszlo Cravensworth (Matt Berry), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch), Nandor the Relentless (Kayvan Novak), and Guillermo De la Cruz (Harvey Guillén) as Nandor's familiar.

Season Three

Season three picks up with our vampires appointed to the head of the Vampiric Council. With only one throne, tensions will rise. Guillermo looks like his vampire hunting lineage is continuing to power through. Expect to see the werewolves play a more prominent role as they are likely to be the next group to get their own standalone show/movie. I hope we see some familiar (pun very much intended) faces from seasons one and two. Jackie Daytona is one of my favorite characters in any show or movie. Beanie Feldstein's Jenna would be a welcome return too. She was prolly a little busy with the other FX show she's starring in and going to win an Emmy for (American Crime Story: Impeachment) hopefully she swung by the set for a scene or two. A return of the Internet Troll would also be a welcomed sight.

Keep your eyes peeled to FX, folks. Check out our Rez Dogs preview here and stay tuned for a 'What to Watch: American Crime Story: Impeachment' to drop in the days to come.
