Onto the games themselves: this weekend’s highlights include Opening Day Weekend for baseball, the Bulls, Blackhawks, and the Final Four of the NCAA men’s basketball March Madness tournament.

Bulls (19-27) at Jazz (36-11), vs. Nets (33-15)

  • at Jazz: Friday 4/2 at 8:00 PM on NBC Sports Chicago
  • vs. Nets: Sunday 4/4 at 1:00 PM on NBC Sports Chicago

After making multiple impactful moves at the trade deadline, the new-look Bulls have caught the injury bug with Zach LaVine, Coby White, and Garrett Temple all sitting out Wednesday night. The Bulls have a tough slate this weekend against the Jazz and the Nets. Check out the Bulls On Tap podcast to get ready for this weekend’s games and head to the Bulls tab here at On Tap Sports Net for further analysis throughout the NBA season.

Blackhawks (17-15-5) at Predators (19-17-1)

  • at Predators: Saturday 4/3 at 2:00 PM on NBC Sports Chicago

The Blackhawks split their mid-week series with the Carolina Hurricanes and find themselves in a tightly contested battle for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Central Division. On Saturday, they have a chance to leapfrog the hated Predators when they visit Bridgestone Arena. Nashville currently holds fourth place in the Central only thanks thanks to a regulation wins tie-breaker as the teams tout an identical point total. Needless to say, Saturday's game a huge test the Blackhawks, who are winless against the Predators so far this season. Check out the Blackhawks tab here at On Tap Sports Net and tune in to the Four Feathers Podcast to stay up to date on the Blackhawks this year.

  • Sunday 4/4 at 1:20 PM on Marquee Network

The Cubs open the 2021 season at the Friendly Confines against the Pirates. After falling on Opening Day, they will be looking to get back on track. Tune in to the Cubs On Tap podcast for a season preview and further commentary on the North Siders.

White Sox (0-1) vs. Angels (1-0)

  • Friday 4/2 at 8:38 PM on NBC Sports Chicago
  • Saturday 4/3 at 8:38 PM on NBC Sports Chicago
  • Sunday 4/4 at 7:37 PM on ESPN

The White Sox experienced an eighth-inning collapse that cost them a victory on Opening Day. They will stay in California to take on the Angels three more times before continuing their west coast road trip in Seattle next week. Also, congratulations to Tony Crates for winning the Sox On Tap and Grandstand Opening Day giveaway contest, which scored him a Tim Anderson jersey and an On Tap swag pack!
