What's On Tap in Chicago This Weekend: March 12-14, 2021

The weather is getting warmer and some COVID-19 restrictions are being eased, so get out and enjoy all the Chicago events this weekend.

MSI: "Marvel: universe of Super Heroes

The Museum of Science and Industry has finally reopened. With the museum's return comes a new exciting exhibit centered around the world of Marvel. When the exhibit was announced, I wrote an article outlining some of the details, which can be found below:

312 Day Live Broadcast

Friday is 3/12 on the calendar, which is yet another excellent reason to celebrate living in Chicago. Goose Island usually throws a concert to celebrate, but this year will feature a virtual show due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

IAHC St. Patrick's Day Celebration

The Irish American Heritage Center is throwing a virtual bash for St. Patrick's Day since there will be no live parades. Come listen to some Irish music and enjoy other traditions.

Museum of Illusions

The Museum of Illusions is a rather unique experience in which you can immerse yourself in over 80 exhibits. These exhibits provide visitors a creative experience that shocks their senses and offers great Instagram opportunities.

The museum is finally open after being shut down due to COVID-19 protocols. It features the famous Infinity Mirror Room along with some other exhibits and visual displays.

Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit Chicago

A breathtaking perspective of Van Gogh’s works, this digital art exhibition has already captivated cities around the globe. This experience opened on February 11th and will run through September 6th due to popular demand. Get your tickets now because this world-class exhibit is selling quickly!

St. Paddy's Day 5K Run/Walk

With racing in person as a possibility this year, Diversey Harbor is hosting a limited capacity race. At-home participation is also an option.

Now through June 14th, the Art Institute is hosting an exhibit on Monet.

Sporting Events

Here are all the sporting events involving Chicago-affiliated teams taking place this weekend. There will be no fans in attendance at any games in the state, so please enjoy them from your couch. The Bulls returned from the All-Star Break on a sour note by falling to a shorthanded 76ers team on Thursday night. They'll look to bounce back as they continue their homestand against the Heat and Raptors. Blackhawks Panthers

The Blackhawks split their mid-week series against the Dallas Stars thanks to a unique Thursday night triumph. White Sox Spring Training

Cubs Spring Training

NCAA Men’s Basketball

 Conference Championship Weekend

The Big Ten Tournament is taking place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The third-ranked Fighting Illini will be in action on Friday at 5:30 PM CST vs. the Rutgers Scarlet Knights as they embark on their quest for a conference tournament championship.
