The Chicago White Sox (36-23) are coming off yet another series win as they took three of four games from the Detroit Tigers (24-35) over the weekend. After an off-day on Monday, the White Sox will welcome the Toronto Blue Jays (30-27) to Guaranteed Rate Field.
Both teams hold spots in the top ten of the latest MLB Power Rankings. The White Sox rank second and the Blue Jays rank tenth. The South Siders have ten wins in their last 14 games, propelling them to a four-game lead over second-place Cleveland in the AL Central. The Blue Jays currently sit in third place in the AL East and are six games back of Tampa Bay.
The last time the Chicago White Sox saw the Toronto Blue Jays was in May of 2019. Both teams look much different than they did just two years ago and both are coming off of playoff appearances in 2020. Toronto heads to Chicago following a 2-1 series loss to the Houston Astros.
