Yes, you read the title right! Adam Amin and Stacey King will be calling the Chicago White Sox game this Friday. The White Sox will be in Kansas City taking on the Royals and the Chicago Bulls duo will be giving their play-by-play and color commentary.
To be honest, I am not entirely sure why this crossover is happening, but I'm excited. Can you imagine hearing Stacey King calling an Eloy Jiménez home run? Or Adam Amin getting hyped over a possible Liam Hendriks save? The possibilities are endless for what kind of electricity these two can bring to the booth.
I, for one, am excited to see what nicknames Stacey King gives to the current group of White Sox players. He's had no shortage of them in his time calling Bulls games. Kurt "Big Sexy" Thomas, "Thadgic" Johnson, and "The Finnisher" are just a few fun ones over the years. This is an awesome move by NBC Sports, the White Sox, and the Bulls. This crossover will hopefully bring more eyes to the Bulls as they aspire to compete in the playoffs for the first time since 2017.
However, one question needs to be asked. Do you think the Chicago Bulls commentators can sing the Nationwide Insurance jingle better than Jason Benetti and Steve Stone? Tune in Friday to find out.
