On Friday, the Chicago White Sox and Nike partnered to release a new uniform concept. The White Sox were selected as one of the few teams to receive a special 'City Connect Series' uniform this season.
Nike announced the series in April, with the latest design for the White Sox being the third uniform released.
"Developed in collaboration with seven inaugural clubs (Arizona Diamondbacks, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, San Francisco Giants), Nike MLB City Connect Series honors the history that binds club, fan, city and culture. In later seasons, the City Connect Series will appear league-wide."

The uniforms have been released sporadically throughout the course of the season. Many White Sox fans might remember the yellow and blue concept the Red Sox wore in their series earlier this year.
The Miami Marlins also unveiled their concept a little over a week ago, a red and blue pairing honoring the city's Cuban-American populace.
The uniforms have received mixed reviews so far in the release, but it is refreshing to see Major League Baseball try something different.
