Ever since the Chicago White Sox released their city connect jerseys, fans have voiced their love for them. News has surfaced that will allow fans to see more of the special uniforms throughout the 2021 season.
White Sox radio broadcaster Len Kasper said on ESPN 1000 that the club will use the city connect uniforms as their alternate choice for the remainder of the 2021 campaign. He explained the news during the team's matchup against the Detroit Tigers, where they were sporting them on a Saturday afternoon.
The White Sox have had a few different types of uniform combinations in the past. Many fans were screaming for the return of the vests, but to no success. Spectators are used to seeing the team wear the 1983-style threads on Sunday home games, but this looks to be a change that will bring a little more swag to the south side.
The uniforms help symbolize what the south side is; tough, stylish, and one could even say fearless, and they'll be in play for the team to wear for the rest of what is going to be an exciting remainder of the season.
