On Tuesday, the Chicago White Sox announced their lineup on Twitter as they usually do. This time, however, the lineup graphic included the return of a big-time bat. After a few games off due to a groin injury, Eloy Jimenez will return to the cleanup role as the designated hitter.

Jimenez has played in just three games this season, but he's already provided a noticeable impact in the lineup. Last Tuesday in Kansas City, the Royals decided to intentionally walk Jose Abreu with two outs and one runner on base to get to Jimenez, who smashed a go-ahead three-run home run.

Manager Tony La Russa has been cautious with the young slugger since he's been back. He lifted Jimenez from the lineup for a pinch hitter in the ninth inning of last Wednesday's game due to Eloy's aforementioned groin ailment. Jimenez then sat out the next four contests — the finale in Kansas City and the entire weekend set vs. Cleveland. Now, Jimenez will make his 2021 home debut against the same team he rudely reintroduced himself to exactly a week ago.
