Frank Thomas Purchases Controlling Stake in Field of Dreams Movie Site
Baseball Hall of Famer and Chicago White Sox legend Frank Thomas is now the majority owner of a historic cornfield in Iowa. On Thursday, September 30, 2021, the Field of Dreams Movie site announced that Frank Thomas has purchased a controlling stake in the Iowa property as well as Go The Distance Baseball, LLC.
Per the press release, "Mr. Thomas will serve as chief executive officer and Dan Evans will serve as chief operating officer. Mr. Evans, a former general manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has previously served as a consultant to Go the Distance Baseball."
The movie site, which has seen an abundance of renewed interest after the White Sox defeated the New York Yankees in the inaugural Field of Dreams game, seems to be ripe with opportunity to create memories for baseball fans that will last a lifetime.
