The Chicago White Sox injury woes continued to worsen on Wednesday night. After Eloy Jimenez exited the game with a left ankle bruise, Josh Harrison followed suit due to lower back stiffness. The team announced he is undergoing further evaluation.
Harrison started the game playing second base, going 0-3 at the plate prior to his early exit. He left the contest in the top of the eighth inning when Danny Mendick replaced him at the keystone position.
The Chicago White Sox injured list currently consists of Lance Lynn, Lucas Giolito, AJ Pollock, Yoan Moncada, Garrett Crochet, Joe Kelly, Ryan Burr, Yermin Mercedes, and Jonathan Stiever. It's unclear at this point if Josh Harrison or Eloy Jimenez will join that list, but their early departures surely have the South Siders holding their breath.
