As the Chicago White Sox get ready for a four-game set against the Baltimore Orioles, the team's lineup for game one is missing a big name in Tim Anderson.

Manager Tony La Russa told the media on Thursday that Tim Anderson has a few spots that are nagging him. This explains the absence of Anderson in the series finale against the St. Louis Cardinals as well as their Thursday night matchup against the O's. Danny Mendick will replace him in the field and Nick madrigal will handle the lead off duties until he returns.

Anderson has played in 37 games so far in 2021. He's sporting a .287 batting average with five long balls and 17 runs driven in. While these sore spots likely won't keep TA out of the lineup long term, his void seems bigger even for a game without Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert.
