Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn left Saturday night's ballgame with an apparent injury. Lynn, who had been pulled in the previous inning, was back out to work in the bottom of the fourth inning and had already thrown 73 pitches on the night.

After being looked at in the dugout, Lynn left the ballpark through the centerfield gate with team trainers who were visibly already on the phone.

The Chicago White Sox right-hander is a major piece to the team's starting rotation. Should Lance Lynn miss any extended time, Reynaldo Lopez figures to be the in-house option to cover the innings missed. However, should the news be a worst-case scenario, it would potentially force Rick Hahn and the White Sox to look outside of the organization to shore up the rotation.

While it remains to be seen what exactly Lynn is dealing with, the sight was scary nonetheless. The White Sox have already seen Andrew Vaughn and Garrett Crochet suffer injuries this spring. Adding Lynn to this list is not something the White Sox organization had in mind just under a week away from starting the 2022 campaign.
