The Chicago White Sox will get a boost Thursday as Luis Robert returns to action against the Texas Rangers. Robert will bat second and serve as the DH in the series opener.

Robert last appeared in a White Sox game on July 15. The Cuban centerfielder had been dealing with lightheadedness and blurred vision symptoms for the past two-plus weeks. Sox GM Rick Hahn said Tuesday that Robert's ailment was the product of a virus and vitamin deficiencies.

Those symptoms have now subsided, as the White Sox activated Robert from the injured list Tuesday. The team plans to monitor the 25-year-old's workload over the next 7-10 days to see how he responds in his return to action.
