The Chicago White Sox have placed OF Billy Hamilton on the 10-day IL with a right oblique strain. This is the second time this season Hamilton has dealt with this injury. With Hamilton heading to the IL, the White Sox have recalled RHP Jimmy Lambert from Class Triple-A Charlotte.

In 106 at-bats this season, Billy Hamilton is slashing .226/.245/.396. Hamilton has added two long balls, 11 RBIs, and eight stolen bases. Hamilton has proven to be a fantastic defensive replacement and excellent pinch-runner. This could be Hamilton's last stint on the major league roster as Luis Robert is getting close to returning.

Jimmy Lambert will be making his return to the White Sox after being recalled. In two stints with the White Sox in 2021, Lambert has appeared in two games. Lambert made a spot start for the Sox when he started in the second game of a doubleheader against the Cleveland Indians on May 31. Lambert is sporting a 12.60 ERA in five innings of work.
