The White Sox and Alex Colome have reportedly settled on a deal for 2020 to avoid arbitration.

Colome, who was acquired from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for Omar Narvaez last offseason, appeared in 62 games, posted a 2.80 ERA, and recorded 30 saves for the White Sox in 2019. While speculation swirls regarding Aaron Bummer taking over the closer role going forward, Colome will likely begin the 2020 season as the ninth-inning man for the South Siders.
