The White Sox went 2-4 last week against the Dodgers and Rangers, lowering their record four games below .500 (27-31). After a devastating loss on Sunday, Chicago desperately needs a series win against Detroit before hosting the Houston Astros and their potent offense.
Detroit is coming off a series loss to the Toronto Blue Jays and they have their own issues. With a 24-35 record, the Tigers sit behind the Chicago White Sox in the AL Central standings.
