The White Sox have placed Carlos Rodon on the ten-day injured list after he exited last night's game early due to a sore shoulder. This is a concerning development given Rodon’s injury history.

In a corresponding move, the Sox promoted Brady Lail from the Schaumburg taxi squad. Lail had been up and down in the Yankee organization’s minor league system for the past few years.

In conjunction, the club designated Luis Basabe for assignment. Basabe was the third player included in the Chris Sale trade from the Red Sox. Surprisingly, the White Sox moved on from him before Nicky Delmonico, who has struggled mightily in his time with the White Sox since 2017.
