Per the Chicago White Sox, outfielder Luis Robert has been medically cleared to increase baseball activities. More than likely, this entails ramping up hitting and running exercises.

He will potentially be able to start a rehabilitation assignment in about four weeks, barring any setbacks in said baseball activities.

Losing Robert was a crucial loss for the White Sox on both the offensive and defensive fronts. With nearly every outfielder on the roster experiencing at least one injury stint, including Jake Lamb most recently, this is welcome news for the team and White Sox fans.

Given this great news, the White Sox can expect Robert (at the earliest) to return to the Major League team sometime in August. They have not yet defined a return date, so given how rehabilitation goes, that will be more apparent in the coming weeks.

Before the injury, Robert was slashing .316/.359/.463 with one home run, eight RBI's, nine doubles, and 11 runs scored. In addition, Robert was playing elite defense in center field.
