White Sox Recall OF Luis Gonzalez from Alternate Training Site

After optioning Jonathan Stiever following Sunday's game, the White Sox recalled outfielder Luis Gonzalez from the alternate site today.

Ahead of tonight's series opener against the Detroit Tigers, the Chicago White Sox recalled outfielder Luis Gonzalez from the Schaumberg alternate training site.

Gonzalez replaces pitcher Jonathan Stiever, whom the team optioned to Schaumberg following Sunday's game vs. Texas.

Gonzalez saw limited action during the truncated 2020 season, appearing in just three games and only seeing two plate appearances. He struck out once and reached on a hit by pitch. He recorded four hits, two RBIs, and one walk over 18 Spring Training games ahead of the 2021 season.
